When you have a bad credit rating obtaining a credit card can be very difficult. Whilst other types of finance such as mortgages and loans have specialist brokers willing to help customers with credit problems, credit cards are often more difficult to obtain.

One company is changing all that. CGS Credit Cards is a UK company that has been growing steadily for the last 8 years by specialising in helping ordinary people with credit history problems to obtain credit and banking facilities.

David Beech, part of the operations team at CGS Credit Cards told me ?When we started up in 1998 there was a huge shortage of options for customers with a low credit score. Since the introduction of computerised scoring in the early 90s customers who did not fit the credit card companies narrow view of 'good' were finding themselves as second class citizens. Ordinary people who were unable to obtain credit cards began to find themselves unable to hire a car, check into a hotel, or shop on the internet?

Over the past 8 years CGS credit cards have processed credit card applications from around 100,000 credit card customers and helped thousands of people to improve their credit rating and obtain the credit card and banking facilities that they need.

What is unique about CGS Credit Cards is that they work only for their customers. Unlike many brokers who are tied to certain lenders, CGS credit cards are dedicated to the idea of being completely independent and never taking a fee from a credit card company for introducing customers to them. What that means is that when CGS Credit Cards
put you through to a lender it is because that credit card is the best one for the customer, not for CGS.

Although CGS credit cards do advertise in some national newspapers the majority of their customers come from introductions.
